Alianca Vinho Verde
Vinho Verde is an unique product in the entire world with a blending of aroma and petillance that makes it one of the most delicious natural beverages. It has great digestive properties due to its freshness and special qualities. Summer held with mild temperatures and in the harvest we had no rain, which suited the perfect conditions for a quality vintage. After the reception the grapes are directed without destemming to the pneumatic press where the free-run must is collected, which is conserved at low temperature and without fermentation during the year. The fermentation of the must is carried out according to the needs, which allows us to present wine that is always fresh and elegant throughout the year. Citrine and pale color. Fruity fragrance with smooth marks of tropical fruits. Slightly acid but fresh on the mouth. The end is smoothly sweet.
Quinta do Carmo Red
The vineyards that at the origin of Quinta do Carmo wine are located in a valley near the foothills of the Serra D’Ossa in clay schist terrains. This is the ideal terroir that allows very slow ripening of the grapes thus creating very elegant and concentrated wines. The harvest took place during the month of September, the Aragonez and Trincadeira were harvested on the 2nd week, while Alicante Bouschet and Cabernet Sauvignon were harvested at the end of the month. Each variety was vinified separately in the traditional vinification process by fermenting in stainless steel vats with controlled temperature. At the end of the fermentation, followed a skin maceration that took 7 to 15 days. The wines aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. Quinta do Carmo Red presents a dense and deep red color with complex aromas of red fruits and traces of vanilla. It is a very balanced and elegant wine that has a good structure, concentrated flavors and soft tannins.
Quinta do Carmo Dom Martinho Red
From the rich clay and limestone soils in the Alentejo we selected Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet, Trincadeira and Cabernet Sauvignon. The harvest of Aragonez and Trincadeira was done at the beginning of September and the harvest of Alicante Bouschet and Cabernet Sauvignon took place at the end of September. The vinification of D. Martinho is done in the new and modern cellar of Quinta do Carmo, at Estremoz. The grape varieties were fermented separately, using a traditional method with short maturation periods and controlled temperatures to allow for the retentions of aromas and fruit with a modern style. The final lot ages during 6 to 9 months in stainless steel. This wine is very expressive, with aromas of ripe berries, with particularly jammy flavors. The balanced acidity of this wine gives it a unique freshness. An ideal companion for meat or poultry. Due to its balanced acidity, Dom Martinho is a perfect match for elaborate dishes of partridge, rabbit, or wild boar.
